Looking for the Bowflex Max Total dimensions?
Wondering if it will fit in your home?
You came to the right place!
The Max Total is the newest Max Trainer model. It’s a more commercial-grade machine built for longer, tougher workouts.
It also has a very cool, touch-screen color console where you can stream trainer-led workouts and get virtual coaching with Bowflex JRNY.
You can also connect with your Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Video accounts and stream shows or movies through your console as you workout.
So it’s understandably a very popular machine.
But what are the dimensions on the Bowflex Max Total?
And will it fit in your workout area?
This post will tell you what you need to know so you can answer that question:
Bowflex Max Total Dimensions – Footprint:
The footprint on this machine when in full use (not in box) is 49.2″ L x 30.5″ W x 65.1″ H
So it’s just slightly bigger than the other Max Trainer models like the M6.
If you want to put it into feet/inches that’s about 4′ 1″L x 2′ 6″ W x 5′ 5″ H
The machine weight is 148 pounds – which is pretty heavy but it does come with integrated transport rollers to help you move it around. (The user weight capacity is 300 pounds).
What About The Ceiling Height?
The length-width footprint is not the only thing you have to consider when looking at the Bowflex Max Total dimensions – you also have to consider the ceiling height.
This is especially important if you plan on putting it in an area with a lower 7 foot ceiling height – like some basements.
You don’t want to get the machine assembled only to realize that you’re practically scraping the ceiling every time you use it.
Thankfully, the Bowflex Max Total has a pretty low ceiling height requirement compared to other Bowflex equipment.
According to the Manufacturer, you’ll need to measure 19 inches above the tallest users height to get your minimum ceiling height required for the Bowflex Total Max Trainer.
That’s about 1 foot 7 inches above your height.
So let’s break it down.
Let’s say your tallest user is 6 feet.
You take 6 feet +1 foot, 7 inches and you get a ceiling height of 7 feet, 7 inches. So a lower 7-foot ceiling wouldn’t work. But a standard 8 or 9 foot ceiling would be fine.
If your tallest user is 5 foot 5 inches, you take this and add 1 foot 7 inches and get a minimum ceiling height of exactly 7 feet. So in this case a 7 foot ceiling (or 8 or 9 foot ceiling) would work.
(Note: if you have a lower ceiling height and you find the Max Total won’t work for you, the Bowflex M8 is similar and only needs around 15 inches above the tallest users height – so it’s a bit shorter)
So those are some of the Bowflex Max Total trainer dimensions that you need to know.
For most people the Max Total fits nicely into a small corner of the room and the ceiling height requirements are pretty reasonable since it has a lower step-on height than most elliptical trainers.
